Cinnamon Apple Pie


This delicious pie is made from 100% raw, fresh ingredients! I have used this dish at many food demonstrations, and it is always loved by raw foodists and cooked food-eaters alike!

Ingredients:

Crust:

2 cups almonds

½ cup Medjool dates

2 handfuls raisins


Filling:

8-10 apples, peeled and chopped

1 cup Medjool dates

½ cup raisins

1 tsp cinnamon, or more

Juice of 1 small lemon or orange

Whole pecan halves for garnish


  1. Combine crust ingredients in a food processor until “dough-like” consistency is reached. Press crust into a glass pie dish.
  2. Combine all filling ingredients, except for 3-4 of the chopped apples, in food processor and blend until applesauce-like consistency is achieved. Stir in chopped apples and pour mixture onto crust.
  3. Flatten mixture gently with a spoon or spatula and sprinkle with additional cinnamon.  Garnish with pecan pieces, or anything else you like.  Chill and serve.
